Inny tytuł jaki przychodzi mi do głowy przy tym wpisie, to: Co zrobić, aby twoje zdjęcia obiegły polski internet w 24h. Ale zacznijmy od początku. Fotografowałem na planie programu Dzień Dobry TVN. Na koniec miała wystąpić młoda piosenkarka „Patty”, czyli Patrycja Dłutkiewicz, wykonując utwór „Krzyk”.

The other title that comes to my mind is: What to do to take the photos which, within 24 hours, go round the Internet in Poland? But let me begin from scratch. I was taking the photos on location of Dzień Dobry TVN Programme (Good Morning TVN). By the end of the programme a young singer, Patrycja Dłutkiewicz called “Patty”, was supposed to sing “Scream”.  

Pierwsza próba / First rehearsal

Podczas pierwszej próby nic nie zapowiadało sensacji. Obok Patty na scenie pojawiły sie dwie, jak wówczas sądziłem, członkinie zespołu. Jedna przy klawiszach, druga z gitarą. Jak widać na poniższym zdjęciu obie dziewczyny były zupełnie ubrane. Zerknijcie też na metadane poniższego zdjęcia.

During the first rehearsal there were no signs of the upcoming sensation. There were two female members of the band on the stage next to Patty. At least that is what I thought. One girl was playing the keyboard, the other the guitar. As you can see in the photo below both were fully dressed. Have a look at the metadata of the photo.

Druga próba / Second rehearsal

Znacznie ciekawiej zrobiło się podczas drugiej próby z udziałem telewizyjnych kamer (tzw. próba kamerowa). Dziewczyna przy klawiszach miała czarną kurtkę, spod której prześwitywało co nieco, natomiast gitarzystka zamieniła koszulę na strój kąpielowy, ale zostawiła spodnie. Wtedy pierwszy raz dane mi było sfotografować wdzięki Angeliki Fajcht. Nowy strój przykuł też uwagę operatorów kamer i pozostałej części męskiej obsługi programu. Zobaczcie zdjęcia.

 The second rehearsal with TV cameras was much more interesting (so called camera rehearsal). The girl playing the keyboard was wearing black jacket showing a bit too much. The guitarist changed her shirt for a swimming suit and she kept the trousers. That was the moment when, for the first time, I took photos of Angelika Fajcht’s breast. The new attire attracted the attention of cameramen and the rest of male staff. See the photos:

Szybko dostrzeżono też, że gitarzystka ma spory problem z grą na instrumencie. Wszyscy zaczęli zadawać pytanie:

Soon everybody noticed that the guitarist had a big problem with playing the instrument. Everyone started asking questions. 

O co kaman? / What’s up?

Chyba pierwszy poznałem na nie odpowiedź. Podeszła do mnie menadżerka Patty i zapytała, czy dałbym jej kilka zdjęć. Odparłem, że pracuje tutaj i w zależności gdzie chce wykorzystać foty, mogę je udostępnić odpłatnie i podałem adres agencji, w której będzie mogła nabyć fotografie.

Menadżerka słysząc, że trzeba zdjęcia kupić straciła zainteresowanie dalszą rozmową. Stwierdziła, że sama będzie robić zdjęcia swoim iPhone’m, bo musi wysłać je na Pudelka. Dotarło do mnie, że gitarzystka i pani od klawiszy nie są członkami zespołu Patty, nie potrafią grać na instrumentach, a mają jedynie wzbudzić sensację.

I was the first to find the answer. Patty’s manager came closer and asked me for a few of the photos I was taking. I said that I was working there and, depending on where she would like to use the photos, I can sell them to her. I gave her the address of the agency where she could purchase the photos.
When the manager heard that she could pay for the photos, she lost the interest in further conversation. She said that she would take the photos herself with her iPone as she needed to send them to Pudelek (the famous Polish stars gossip portal) . I understood that the guitarist and the keyboard player were not the members of Patty’s band. They could not play the instruments but they knew how to cause a sensation.

Jak fotografowałem / How did I take the photos?

Jak widzicie po metadanych fotografowałem Nikonem D3s oraz obiektywem Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8GII ED. Tym zestawem wykonałem wszystkie zdjęcia. Tylko pierwsza fotografia była zrobiona zoomem Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED. W studio była w miarę stała temperatura barwowa, podobnie z jasnością. Fotografowałem w trybie Manual mając parametry ISO 1600, czas 1/160 s i w zależności od miejsca w studio przysłona zupełnie otwarta f/2.8 lub f/3.2

As you can see in metadata I took the photo with Nikon D3s and Nikkor 70-200 mm f/2.8GII ED lens. I took all the photos which are presented on this Internet site with this equipment. Only the first photography was taken with zoom 24-70mm f/2.8G ED. There was moderately average temperature in the studio, just like the light. I took the photos with manual on and ISO 1600, exposure time 1/160s and , depending on the place in the studio, aperture was fully open f/2.8  or f/3.2.

Generalnie parametry dosyć komfortowe, choć przydałoby się mieć bardziej przymkniętą przysłonę choć do f/3.5 – wówczas obiektyw zdecydowanie lepiej „rysuje” i zdjęcia są zauważalnie ostrzejsze. Ktoś zada pytanie, to dlaczego nie zmieniłem czasu ekspozycji z 1/160 s. na np. 1/100 s i wówczas mógłbym użyć przysłonę f/3.5 a nawet f/4?

Generally the parameters were comfortable although it would be nice to have the aperture set on to f/3.5. In such a case the lens sharpen better and the photos are visibly better. You could ask why I did not change the exposure time from 1/160s to, for example, 1/100s and then I  would be able to use the aperture f/3.5 or even f/4?

Mam duże doświadczenie fotografowania na tym programie i podczas koncertu używając zoomu 70-200 potrafię mieć poruszone zdjęcia nawet przy 1/160 s. Zamrożone ujęcia zapewnia prędkość migawki rzędu 1/250 s, ale niestety przy obiektywie o jasności f/2.8 i tamtejszym oświetleniu wychodzi czas 1/160 s. Nie mogę też bezkarnie zwiększać czułości ISO. Znam swój aparat i wiem, że ISO 1600, to graniczna wartość, jeśli chcę mieć na zdjęciu widoczne dobrej jakości szczegóły.

I have a big experience with taking photos in this programme and during the concert using zoom 70-200 I happen to have the blurred photos with 1/160s. Frozen shots are guaranteed by the shutter 1/250s. Unfortunately, with the lens light f/2.8 and the light in the studio the exposure time was 1/160s. I also should not rise the ISO more. I know my camera and I know that ISO 1600 is the limit if I want to have good quality details in the photo. 

Występ / Performance

Do głównego występu gitarzystka i pani od klawiszy zjawiły się już w pełnej krasie tzn. w jednoczęściowych strojach plażowych, które znacznie odsłaniały biusty. Po programie zrobiłem jeszcze zdjęcia wszystkim trzem dziewczynom. Angelika Fajcht omal nie upuściła gitary na podłogę. Zrobiłem foty i w poziomie, i w pionie. Miałem spory problem, aby wszystkie panie popatrzyły mi prosto w obiektyw. Ciągle któraś z nich zerkała do menadżerki – cały czas stała obok mnie i robiła zdjęcia iPhone’m.

The guitarist and the keyboard player appeared for their performance in their full beauty: that is wearing one-piece swimming suits showing much of their breast. After the programme I took the photos of all three girls. Angelika Fajcht almost dropped the guitar to the floor. I took both vertical and horizontal photos. I had a problem because the three ladies did not look straight into my camera. They peeped at their manager who was standing next to me and was taking the photos with her iPhone. 

Publikacje / Results

Film z gitarzystką natychmiast stał się hitem internetu notując setki tysięcy wyświetleń. Zdjęcia pojawiły się w dziesiątkach publikacji, choć nie zawsze legalnie znalazły się w niektórych portalach (o tym innym razem). Dopiero na drugi dzień dziennikarze odkryli tożsamość gitarzystki. Okazało się, że jest to modelka Angelika Fajcht, która brała udział w jednej z edycji programu Top Model. Powstał nawet fanpage na Facebook’u „Angelika Fajcht – gitarowy kunszt”, który polubiło 37 tys. osób! Kliknijcie w poniższe zdjęcie, aby przeglądnąć publikacje.

The film with the guitarist became the Internet success immediately with hundreds of thousands of displays. The photos appeared in a number of publications and in many portals though not always legally (I’ll come back to this issue). The next day the journalists discovered the guitarist’s identity. It was a model, Angelika Fajcht, who had participated in one of the editions of Top Model. A fanpage entitled “Angelika Fajcht – a guitar art” was even created. 37 thousand people liked the fanpage! To see selected publications click the photo below.
